About us

Veterinary Practice De Roeck is a leading orthopaedic referral centre located in Landen (Belgium). Thanks to our many years of experience, our collaboration with more than 250 referring veterinarians, our use of specialised equipment (including a CT scanner) and our extensive expertise in hip replacements, we are a well-established name in Belgium. Quality and patient welfare are at the heart of everything we do – a commitment we live up to every day as a close-knit team. We will soon be moving to a newly built practice (also in Landen) equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Within this modern infrastructure, featuring three high-end operating rooms, we will continue to expand our referral centre. 

Our practice consists of three veterinarians and three highly qualified veterinary nurses. To further strengthen our team, we are looking for a veterinarian with solid experience in orthopaedic surgery and the ambition to continue to grow. What to expect?

  • You conduct orthopaedic consultations (as well as neurosurgical consultations), advise clients based on your expertise and thereby build a strong relationship of trust. 
  • Orthopaedic surgery holds few secrets for you. You are responsible for the work-up, diagnosis and surgical treatment of (complex) orthopaedic cases, such as arthroscopies, fracture repairs and joint surgery.
  • Maintaining relationships with referring veterinarians is also crucial. You therefore help further develop strong lines of communication with fellow veterinarians throughout the wider region.
  • You work closely together with your fellow veterinarians and veterinary nurses. In doing so, you share the expertise you have built up and contribute to the further development of your colleagues.
  • We are looking for someone who can help drive the further growth of our practice. You actively contribute ideas on the structure, expansion and professionalisation of our orthopaedic care and the associated protocols.

Do you meet our expectations?

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine and have a passion for high-quality care and personal development. In addition, you have (in-depth) experience in orthopaedic diagnostics and surgery. Ideally, you hold a Certificate, Master’s or Diplomate qualification.
  • You are ambitious, a true team player and you have an open communication style.
  • You also attach great importance to customer friendliness and service orientation and always put (the well-being of) the client and patient first.
  • Practical experience in secondary and/or tertiary referral veterinary medicine is a strong asset. You are motivated to further expand your knowledge and grow with us.
  • You speak Dutch and/or English. A good command of French is a valuable asset given the location of the practice.
